Magnolia Manor Plantation Bed and Breakfast is listed on the National Register of Historic Places as the John Watson House, named for John Watson its original antebellum owner. In the 1800's, it was a genuine plantation manor house that once included 2,100 acres and numerous outbuildings. Today, the manor house has been respectfully rehabilitated to its original splendor with all the modern conveniences. It still supports thirteen magnificent acres that are totally surrounded by the vast acreage it was once associated with, all of which are privately held by original heirs and are still undeveloped. This unique situation allows us to offer our brides a totally private and unsurpassed rural setting for their weekend wedding experience, void of all other distractions; no dwellings, no commercial interest and no unaffiliated visitors. Weekend Wedding Package
The Magnolia Manor Weekend Wedding package takes all of the stress out of planning for your special day. This is a full weekend package, from 4:00 PM on Friday until 11:00 AM on Sunday, not just a time slot on Saturday night, and includes everything you need for your special day. When you consider all of the effort that goes into planning your special day, our weekend approach allows you to maximize the time you have to spend with friends and family at an affordable price.

Sheila will be your Wedding Planner and will coordinate your special preferences to make your wedding unique and special for you. No two brides are alike nor are their weddings. The Weekend Wedding Package includes overnight accommodations for 10 guests on Friday and Saturday nights and a generous full breakfast for all overnight guests. Magnolia Manor Plantation can, however, accommodate up to 23 guests with special arrangements and there are ample lodging facilities within 25 minutes of Magnolia Manor Plantation.

The rehearsal generally takes place on Friday evening followed by a casual southern barbeque dinner catered by Magnolia Manor Plantation in the Carriage House Pavilion, a turn of the century barn that has been up-fitted with a full commercial kitchen, generous rest rooms with handicap access, 2000 sq ft for your celebration and an old silo that has been converted into a beverage center.

Saturday is for set up and decoration of the wedding site that was selected by the bride and of the Carriage House Pavilion for the reception. Brides have chosen numerous wedding sites on the grounds. Many have chosen the antique white oak that is an estimated 500 years old but the pecan orchard is becoming increasingly popular because of its tremendous arched canopy. Other wedding sites that have been selected are the front porch, the potting shed or the 1815 dining room for smaller affairs. Magnolia Manor Plantation can also suggest a wedding officiate or other service providers if you desire.

Following the ceremony, the wedding party moves to the Carriage House Pavilion for the reception. Sheila works with the bride to finalize the menu. There are numerous choices to customize the menu to your preferences. Our caterer sets up an incredible buffet. During the reception dinner, our professional DJ pays from a song list approved by the bride and handles all of the traditional wedding activities after the dinner. When the dinner and planned events are over, its PARTY TIME and the DJ will not let you down.

Sunday morning its coffee on the front porch and another incredible breakfast, then its back to reality as the new couple begins the rest of their lives with memories of a lifetime!
